Artist statement

As an experienced and award winning artist James Gleeson has a large body of work to choose from. His classic iconic series of San Francisco landmarks that he paints in oil and watercolor are well known and have been exhibited and collected. The newer body of work is a departure from realism and inspired by the California figurative movement of the 1960s.
