Robert Schlaug
Roth - Germany
Description
I’m a photographer from Germany with a longtime experience. I started with sports photography. Since 1980 I’m a collector of historic photographs of my hometown and have built up an extensive archive of reproductions. My first exhibition took place in 1982. My first book was published in 1984. From 1984 to 2003 periodically I’ve exhibited historical photographs of my hometown. Many years I took images about the issues of "changes in the townscape" and “heritage and preservation of a little old town”
In 2002, I gave my work a whole new direction. In 2003 I was the founder and curator of the photo gallery “Schlenzgerhaus” (2003-2009). In the following years a number of my own projects were exhibited in this gallery. Now the gallery is closed and everyone can see my whole portfolio on my website: http://www.robertschlaug.com
