Ann-Marie Stöhr, who is a quadri-lingual artist wiith a cultural background in France, Sweden and Germany and three native languages, Ann-Marie Stoehr, considers painting her fifth language.

She received an MFA in New Genres at “Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar” in Saarbrücken Germany, where she studied under Beuys’ student and feminist video and performance artist Ulrike Rosenbach. Prior she studied painting in Sweden at Dômen Konstskola Göteborg. She was the recipient of a student exchange grant from Deutsch-Französisches Jugendwerk Bad Honnef and studied a semester at Ecole des Arts Décoratifs Strasbourg.

Her work is officially represented by the Swedish Art Council, the Cultural Office of Gothenburg and the Cutural Office of Rheinland-Pfalz in Germany.
