The rabbit was as big as a house

A bunny drawing from my book “Ladybird: My Eight Lives”. The book was released in June 2016 and it chronicles the life of a typical rescue rabbit. The charcoal pencil drawings were later scanned and added to the book.

Crampton says, “This was one of the first drawings made for the book. Originally the story was going to include how the neglected rabbit became obese while being confined to a cage and the original title was going to be 'The rabbit who was as big as a house'." This drawing was included on the back cover.

Carolyn Crampton

Carolyn Crampton born in Larchmont, New York. She received her BFA in painting from University of Colorado. Her painting studio is at Hunters Point Shipyard in San Francisco. Crampton lives with rescued rabbits. She wrote and illustrated the books “Rabbit Language or ‘Are you going to eat that?’ “, and the just released "Ladybird: My Eight Lives", and illustrated “Dumbunny”.
