Doran Bastin is best known for his intriguing black and white street photographs. Doran approaches the medium
and the streets with a keen, compassionate eye; finding intimate moments in some of the most unlikely places.
Influenced by greats such as Lee Friedlander and Garry Winogrand, his photographs are a study of humanity in
the Pacific Northwest region at a time when homelessness and mental illness are significant issues in his
hometown of Seattle, Washington. His work also includes color photography, urban landscapes, and
documentary and has been featured in Photographic Center Northwest's Long Shot exhibition and awarded third
place in the 2016 Collective Visions Gallery annual competition. Doran is a scrum master by day, an
accomplished musician by night and a photographer at heart.
