Wet and Delicious

I love the colors in this photograph. I am intrigued by the small raindrops sparkling in the sun. This is a macro photograph choosing a point of focus and using a wide open aperture to let the rest of the image go in to a blur. If everything was sharp it would be too harsh to my creative eyes. I prefer a softer dreamier quality in my work.

It is really a fluke that I am here at all. My parents are both survivors of the Holocaust. My mother, at the age of nine, was successfully hidden in the Hungarian forest by the red Cross to avoid being taken to a concentration camp.
