An Autumn woodland landscape with deer. The style is art deco, art nouveau, expressionist and semi abstract and shows a group of deer appearing in an autumn forest. I have painted this stag and three doe's many times now and they have become very real and yet remain distant. They promise revelation but it remain elusive - hence the title. The scene has the feel of a woodland forest with autumn colours and is very vibrant.
I am an artist based in Sussex, England and I paint large landscape paintings and seascape paintings in oil on canvas. My painting style is not always easy to define but has elements of abstract, Impressionist, Expressionist and possibly some Art-Nouveau.
