Seasonal Dreams > White Deer Realm - large colourful abstract forest landscape with white deer

A 36 x 48 x 1.5 inches large semi abstract original oil painting of a forest landscape with white deer. The painting is art nouveau and abstract in style, thickly painted in places and is very colourful. A white deer stag and a doe stand in the foreground next to some ancient trees looking as if they were just elevated from within the ground itself. They look at the viewer questionably as deer do - wondering whether we are decent humans or brutal ones with guns. They have a message for those who can hear it. Behind them is a suggestion of a lake and around them are the colours of spring and summer trees in a forest. This is another in a series of stag paintings very much inspired by seeing deer often in the Ashdown forest area. They are otherworldly creatures and they fascinate me. Painted on deep edge canvas, white edges, no frame needed.
