Kara's mini cupcakes come in a box with many small holes. I love to use the box as a stencil, and it has inspired many paintings. This is my most wild one so far. Spray Paint, hula-hoops, pencil shavings, and even a found piece of metal from the street all contributed to the super-fun making of this piece. Come and see it this weekend, Saturday and Sunday, November 10 and 11th, Studio 396, 3rd floor, at 2345 Harrison Street in SF, CA.

Using my breath and large motions, I focus on letting go, being present, and infusing the work with spontaneity.
