A 30x30x1.5 inches autumn landscape original oil painting with three flying swallows over Sussex fields and trees. The style is contemporary impressionist and was painted after walking around ancient fields and woodlands near Ashurst wood in Sussex. Lots of swallows were gathering around a small green valley with trees all around and a stream was running through the bottom of a field. I tried to show the vibrancy of autumn colours but also felt slightly sad that the swallows were obviously preparing to leave the country for winter - lucky them... The painting has white edges and is on deep edge canvas so not frame necessary.
I am an artist based in Sussex, England and I paint large landscape paintings and seascape paintings in oil on canvas. My painting style is not always easy to define but has elements of abstract, Impressionist, Expressionist and possibly some Art-Nouveau.
