Fragmentation, distortion, pop of colors, potpourri of papers and mesmerizing looks. This analog collage reflects the phenomenon of transformation through the years. Women are strongly inclined to follow specific mandates, looking for acceptance and inclusion.
These First Queens would then act as a radar that surfaces and amplifies our concerns as a society in contemporary times.

Laura Maschietto

Laura Maschietto is a based San Francisco artist, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1984. She studied Fine Arts at Universidad Nacional de las Artes in Buenos Aires, as well as teaching French as a foreign language. Her work is centered in collage portraits and multi-media work, pondering the enigma of change and transformation, seen through female eyes.
