This painting immerses us in a dreamlike universe with realistic outlines. The artist depicted shrinking in a large golden cage, surrounded by birds of all kinds and all sizes, as if it were their own. Although the doors of the aviary cage are wide open, we clearly feel the confinement of the protagonists, their possible freedom but ultimately inaccessible. The colorful beauty of the birds "make up" the claustrophobic background of the painting.
