In this collection, entitled “Motifs, “ I capture the delicacy of lace with finely painted lines. Echoing the structure of diatoms, these motifs float in an environment of floral figures and freely dripped color. I am offering the original only of this piece, which is a 12" x 16" framed acrylic painting on panel.
Heather Robinson received formal training in architecture and pursued a successful career as a graphic designer before she decided to pursue painting full-time in 2001. Robinson was initially drawn to collage, which followed naturally from web design – the process of combining existing elements into visually pleasing and distinctive tableau.
