The image is produced by a combination of in-camera manipulation, layering and extensive computer processing. The original picture, which is somewhat more evident in this picture as opposed to some others, is a photograph of a female nude. The final image is neither photography nor painting, but some as-yet undefined process halfway between the two.
Print sizes refer to paper dimensions, not image dimensions. Prints on 17" x 22" paper are made with minimum 1" margins and are open editions. Larger prints are made with 2" margins and are limited editions. All prints are made by me and signed. Limited edition prints come with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Ed Freeman grew up in Boston and majored in French at Oberlin College in Ohio. After college, he worked as a performing musician, arranger and record producer on dozens of pop and jazz records, including Carly Simon's debut album and Don McLean's "American Pie."
