Piano Keys Sculpture #1 by Bryan M. Boutwell

Sculpture, 36 x 48 x 8"

I wanted to create a sculpture using the piano keys and piano parts. I built it so that the center of the sculpture spins. This creates the effect similar to rims spinning on a car or a bicycle rim. The keys act as spokes which allow for some cool shadowing effects to take place. I wanted to make the piece slick and to almost resemble a new type of musical instrument. A mix between a piano, guitar and turn table. It measures 4 feet x 3 feet and pops off the wall 8 inches. Hope you enjoy!
