Fugue In Gamma #3

For some time this oil painting from my Tondo series hung in my studio near my color mixing station as a ready reference for color possibilities. You could think of it as a key to the color choices made in the Tondo series. Exclusively for Daylighted, the image of this painting is surrounded appropriately by a background pattern which you could think of as a key for much of my digital work. This image is derived from a photocopy and watercolor collage of a dragonfly I created while in Seattle which is derived from a deconstructed photograph I took while building theatrical scenery in New York. The digital image is from a series know simply as Dragonfield.
