Origin Of Species

This is a print made by Daylighted of a rather large diptych which is an oil on canvas. The original pair hung on the wall at the San Francisco Design Center for a show to celebrate the collection of noted Bay area art collector DeRosa and the opening of his sculpture garden. The painting was made in my studio, then in the central district of San Francisco in the space behind a commercial laundry. This is the culmination of my simplexity series, which explored self-organizing abstraction.
