Books and bookshops are some of my favorite motifs wherever I photograph. Shakespeare and Company is located on the Left bank across from Notre Dame and founded in 1951 by George Whitman. The English language book store is a magnet for artists and writers visiting or living in Paris. Note the interesting reflections in this image.

Paris is my favorite city; I first visited the City of Lights in 1969 and subsequently have made many trips to Paris in all seasons, light and weather conditions. Parisian storefronts, restaurants and cafes as well as its sun-dappled parks and fascinating architectural details are the motifs that first interested me.
