Using the night sky as inspiration, Julia Goodman created works that incorporated the stars and planets as literal and metaphorical guides while at Recology in 2012. Holes on this damaged, found slide represent a constellation. The work was part of a series of slides projected during her end-or-residency exhibition.

The Artist in Residence Program at Recology San Francisco is a one-of-a-kind program established in 1990 to encourage the conservation of natural resources and instill a greater appreciation for the environment and art in children and adults.
