Meet You at the Bird Bridge in the Milky Way

Using faux birds and flowers, plastic bottles, window blinds, foam, cardboard tubes, and the help of volunteers, Ma Li created a living installation inspired by Chinese legend during her 2014 Recology residency. The work provided a space for people to interact with materials, the environment, and each other in the hope of greater social and environmental connectivity.

The Artist in Residence Program at Recology San Francisco is a one-of-a-kind program established in 1990 to encourage the conservation of natural resources and instill a greater appreciation for the environment and art in children and adults.
